With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our most loved and cherished wife, mother and ‘ankela’, Susie Hofer.
In the early hours of May 22, 2023, Susie departed this life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus.
Susie Hofer was born on September 17,1953 in the rural municipality of Cartier, Manitoba to Edward and Rebecka Hofer. She was the fourth born child and had six brothers and six sisters. On October 29, 1978, she married the love of her life, Daniel Hofer and together, they embarked on a journey that would span forty-five years. Through the highs and lows, their love remained steadfast, an inspiration to all who knew them. Their union was blessed with the gift of six children: Darryl, Brian, Sandra, David, Ron and Rebecca.
Mom’s heart overflowed with love for her children and
twelve grandchildren, and she poured her soul into raising them with care, tenderness, and unwavering support. Susie’s life changed when she was introduced to the truth of the gospel. It was through the words of John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” that she trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. This verse, prominently displayed on her living room wall, served as a constant reminder of
her unwavering trust in her Lord. She possessed a unique ability to share her love for Jesus with everyone she met. Her words and actions served as a testament to her deep connection with Jesus. Susie was an ambassador for Christ, spreading His message of love, compassion, and salvation
to those around her.
Susie was predeceased by her mother, Rebecka, her stepmother, Rebecca, and her father, Edward. She will be forever loved and missed by her loving husband, Daniel (Don), her children and grandchildren Darryl (Sanna), Amber, Jordan,
Liam; Brian (Jane), Isaac, Celia, Theodore; Sandra (James), Daniel, Susannie, Jada; David (Lisa), Jacob, Kolton, Dawson; Ron and Rebecca.
