I met Art for the first time when I started working in the oil patch, near Kindersley, SK, back in the mid-1990's. Art instantly became like a big brother to me... training me, looking out for me, going on burger-runs with fellow drivers and, eventually hiring me to drive truck for him as a swing driver. I got to know his lovely wife, Olga, as well as his children, Mike & Tina, and their children. He was very devoted to his family and loved them all very much. Art remained a very dear friend to me long after our oil-patch days. I will forever remember fondly his stories and jokes, which he was never in short supply of. I will miss you my dear friend, my brother. May you rest in peace. ~ Lila Guillet

To the Rooke family I am so sorry for your loss. I also loss a great friend and Bud. On the north wall of his old garage at his home is written these words. Art was a friendly, outgoing neighbour, farmer, businessman, car guru and a man of many talents! He always had a great story to share, interesting tidbit to tell, especially about his passion, cars/trucks! Art was a great neighbour, and a long time friend to our family and he will be missed!
