Obituary For Bruce Follick

Bruce passed away Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023, age 78, in Outlook hospital. Bruce was born in Outlook on October 11, 1944. He was the third and youngest child of Don and Dorothy Follick, a brother to Lola and Ron.
Bruce went to elementary school in Strongfield and then attended Loreburn High School, where he met his wife, Carol Pettigrew. They were married on August 7, 1965, at the Elbow Lutheran Church. They had 58 wonderful years together. Through those 58 years, they raised 6 children: Lorelei (Kubashek), Rhonda (Coates), Rodger, Heath and Heather, and Chantelle.
Bruce worked at the Gardiner Dam and at Norrish’s Garage. He attended tech school in Saskatoon where he successfully obtained his mechanic’s papers. At that time, Bruce and Carol lived in Saskatoon and Bruce was working for Auto Clearing.
In the spring of 1968, Bruce and Carol moved to the Kilgore farm, 3.5 miles east of Outlook, where Carol still lives. Bruce worked as a mechanic at the Co-op garage for 5 years. He also farmed with his Dad and brother Ron until 2020, when he was diagnosed with dementia. In 2023, Bruce was diagnosed with leukemia, which took him Home to be with God.
During their marriage, Bruce and Carol took in exchange students who attended LCBI and they were also blessed to travel to many places, including Norway, Germany and many other places. Carol has so many cherished memories.
He was a wonderful father and grandpa to Chad, Chelsy, Jessica, Faith and Chloe, Harlee and Cameron; a great-grandpa to twins Brock and Dane Kubashek, Barrett Brown, and Banks Norrish.
We will miss Bruce daily, but we are thankful that his suffering is over and we will be together again. Thank you for your prayers.
Left to mourn Bruce, is his loving wife of 58 years, Carol; his daughter Lorelei (Barry) Kubashek; daughter Rhonda (Jay) Coates; son Rodger and Tara Follick; daughter Chantelle. Grandchildren Chad, Chelsy, Jessica, Faith, Chloe, Harlee and Cameron. Great-grandchildren Brock, Dane, Barrett and Banks.
Bruce was predeceased by his children Heath and Heather.
