It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Eileen Pattison announces her peaceful passing in October 2024. Doris was born in Melfort, SK, to James and Edith Grant. She attended Spry School for her early education before continuing to high school in Melfort. Doris furthered her studies at Saskatoon Normal School and took university classes at the University of Saskatchewan.

Doris was a dedicated teacher, educating grades 1 through 7 in Elbow and Donavon from 1946 to 1950. In the mid-1960s, she taught kindergarten from home, nurturing young minds with care. On July 28, 1951, she married the love of her life, Rob Pattison, and they made their home in the Donavon area where they raised 6 children. Doris and Rob were active members of the Anglican Church in Delisle, where their faith guided them throughout their lives.

Doris was deeply involved in her community, serving as a member and president of the Delisle Senior Centre. She was recognized for her selfless contributions with a volunteer award from the town. Over the years, she sat on numerous boards and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Doris was also committed to her family, making 17 trips with her sons Jeff and John to New Orleans for specialized schooling at Walter's Remedial School. She traveled to Jerusalem, England, and many other destinations, enriching her life with meaningful experiences.

In October 2019, Doris moved to Reston Golden Estates in Manitoba to be closer to her daughter Nancy. Doris quickly embraced Reston and enjoyed the parks, churches and community events.

Doris is lovingly remembered by her children: son Gord (Dianne) Pattison and their children Kevin (Cassandra) and children Mason, Maddox, Ainsley, Lenny, and Aubrey, Anita (Jason) Pattison and son Cody, Michael (Robin) Pattison and their children Brynlie, Bronwyn, and Brooklyn. Son Ken (Shelly Serhyenko) Pattison and their children Connor (Dakota) and Evan.Son Bill (Leora Morris) Pattison and children Maegan (Marren) Phinney and children Harlow and Haylen, Krysten Pattison, as well as Nancy’s children Kurt (Marianne) Schiltroth and daughter Keara, Kent (Kari) Schiltroth and children Nora and Evie, Kyle (Amy) Schiltroth and daughter Renee. She is also survived by her sister, Myrna Derkatz, many beloved cousins plus many extended families. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Rob, and infant son Jim, sons Jeff, and John, son-in-law Grant, daughter Nancy, and infant grandson Scott.
