It is with great sorrow that the family of Kenneth Richard Harris announce his passing which occurred peacefully on November 21st, 2023, at Outlook Long Term Care Home, with family by his side.
Ken was born on November 13th, 1935, in Cabri, Saskatchewan to Molly and Atwell Harris. He worked in his hometown in his parents’ restaurant and later at the local Macleods store, which was the beginning of a long career in the hardware business.
During this time, he met and married Renate Erber, a local schoolteacher from Outlook, who became the love of his life. In 1959, they moved to Outlook, and Ken was employed at the local Macleods store.
In 1967, he partnered with Bud Richards, and they purchased the store. After selling his share of the business in 1982, he worked as an irrigator for the Saskatchewan Irrigation Development Centre and later he worked for Helen and Rolly Reynolds at the NAPA store before retiring in 1998.
Ken was an active member of the Outlook Kinsmen Club, where he volunteered countless hours in the community and made many lifelong friends. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ken enjoyed interacting with people and was well known for his sense of humor and occasional practical jokes.
He took great pride in his yard, in which he spent many hours working and relaxing. He loved all animals, especially horses and dogs, and even
owned a few racehorses. He enjoyed many sports, playing cards, travelling and socializing; but most of all he loved spending time with and providing
help and support to his family. Ken loved his family very much and will be dearly missed.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Molly and Atwell Harris, sisters Jeanette Davies and Donna McDonald, brothers Leonard and Gary, and brothers-in-law Don Davies, Lawrence McDonald, and Klaus Erber. He
was also predeceased by his mother and father in-law, Johann & Else Erber.

Harris, Brody Harris, great-grandchildren Kelsey and Conrad Barss, two sisters-in-law, Shirley Harris, and Eleanor Harris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
