Kim was born to Suzanne and John Kuffner, the
youngest of 5 children. The year she arrived
John collected his first old age pension cheque
and family allowance in the same month! To
say she surprised the family would be an
understatement, but she continued to keep
us all on our toes with her excellent sense of
humor and amazing memory.
She attended both Outlook Elementary and High
School and soon after graduation she entered
her lifelong career as a paralegal with several
firms in Saskatoon. Eventually she joined the
Department of Justice and finally retired in
2021.
Kim was a passionate animal lover and her
joy in her cat family could not be denied. She
left behind two lovely companions, Hank (the
Tank), and Boogie (Prince Boogaloo Shoes) who
miss her dearly and are settling into their new
family very well.
Kim often took in her sister’s kids when they
needed a hand. She was a good Auntie, who
kept a watchful eye and allowed her nieces
and nephews to live independently, but safely.
Some of them would stay with her for years and
become like the children she never had.
Kim was truly Thursday’s child. She had “far
to go”, and her life was successful in that she
changed the lives of so many others. She loved
discovering the next adventure and though some
of those were not the fun she wanted, she went
through difficult paths as best she could and
was glad to have the love of her family and her
friends whenever the path became hazardous.
Kim leaves to mourn her passing: her mother
Suzanne (Lizee) Kuffner; her brother Wayne
(Hulda) Kuffner; her sister Carol (Al Kreke)
Haines; her sister Brenda Kuffner; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Kim was predeceased by her father, John
Kuffner, and her eldest brother Allan Kuffner.
