Margaret Gunda Kleiv was born on May 25, 1930 in Tichfield, Saskatchewan, daughter of Jenny and Knute Risdahl. Mom passed into her eternal home on November 8, 2023.

At 93 years old, mom continued to orchestrate the lives of her family and the many Norwegian
organizations she was involved with. Mom was a proud Lutheran Norwegian and spent endless
hours organizing Sunday School events at Zion, Folkfest volunteers, annual Hostfest bus tours to Minot, ND, and hosting world travel adventures with Dad.

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband Thor, of 69 years, her children, Janet (Dean),
JoAnn (Barrie), Elaine (Dale). Mom was so proud of her amazing grandchildren, Jon (Kim), Daniel, Tim (Dana), Kurt (Jasmine), Louise (Darby), Brock (Amanda), Tom. Mom’s great-grandchildren, Branson, Gray, and Valerie brought so much joy into her life. Mom adored her younger brother Art (Elsie), and her niece Colleen (David), nephew Allan (Lorna).
