Marilyn was born in Saskatoon to Harold and Ferne Ritchie and raised on a farm near Donovan. In her younger years before she was married she worked in a paper mill in Vancouver and also was a hairdresser in Saskatoon. On October 8, 1966 Marilyn and Eric were married in Delisle. Marilyn and Eric spent their
life farming, which was very important to her, she cherished all things agriculture related. They stayed on the farm until 2017, when they moved into Outlook. Marilyn was an animal lover, but especially fond of quarter horses, dogs and her purebred
Hampshire sheep. She spent many years showing her sheep at Agribition and was thrilled to win Supreme Grand Champion of all the breeds. Marilyn enjoyed being outside and would call that her hobby. Which was fortunate for the family, as that meant that there was always a big garden full of fresh food. Michael
and Bernie couldn’t have asked for a better Mom, she was always there for them, attending activities and supporting everything they were involved in. Marilyn was a fantastic cook her yorkshire pudding and lemon potatoes were a favorite of her boys. As the years went by, in her spare time, Marilyn delighted in attending concerts with her special friends, she loved ladies curling, and she enjoyed watching the RoughRider Games. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Eric; son Michael; grandchildren Candise
(Ryan) and their daughter Brinley; Chad and Cristen.
She was predeceased by her son Bernie, and her parents Harold and Ferne Ritchie; brother Dave (Linda); sister Sheila (Tom); and numerous nieces and nephews.
