Reta Mick passed away peacefully at the Dinsmore
Health Care Centre on August 12, 2023.
Reta was raised on the farm south of Dinsmore and
attended Pontiac School. She completed her high
school in Dinsmore and then went on to become
an RN with training at the Saskatoon City Hospital.
She nursed until she married Glen Mick. They were
married for 67 years. They lived on the farm 5 miles
south of Dinsmore until they moved to town in 1999.
Reta really enjoyed the Dinsmore community,
attending many activities and celebrations. Some of
her favorites were the knitting club, ladies’ coffee
row, and the seniors’ group. She loved going to the
rink even though she couldn’t see the game.
She is forever loved and remembered by her
four children: Cheryl (Terry) and their family, Trevor
(Megan), Justin (Krista) (Rowan & Aubrey),
Clayton (Sarah) (Kian, Hallie & Gavin), and oldest
greatgrandchild, Troy Banks; Arlene (David) and their
family, Blake (Danielle) (Linley & Hannah), Ian (Tamara) and Kali; Orla (Kevin) and their family, Evan (Alexis) (Clark & Harriet). Jeff (Keara), Bruce (Alyssa) (Arwyn & Foster); and Neil Mick (Sandra) and his family, Melissa (Andrew) (Julia & George), Pamela (Chris) (Reed & Jake), and Glenna (Steve); sister Shirley Taylor and many nieces and nephews.
