Roy Berdict Olson passed into the presence of the Lord at the Hospice at Glengarda in Saskatoon on July 14th, 2023 at the age of 97. He attended Cosmopolitan Rural School, Hawarden School (after they moved east of the town), S.L.B.I.
Outlook, SK and Lutheran Brethren Schools in Fergus Falls, MN. In 1954, he married Joyce Olson, daughter of Alvin and Florella (Ganes) Olson from Hagen, SK. Roy and Joyce lived and farmed in the Hawarden area
for 60 years, retiring to Saskatoon in 2014.

Roy is lovingly remembered by his daughter Carolyn Olson-Albrecht (David Albrecht), two sisters, Doreen Olson and Audrey Olson, and sister-in-law Betty Olson- Brekke, Joyce’s brothers, Jarle (Judy), Ron
(Delaine), Ken (Donna), Lloyd (Betty Lou), Larry (Irene), sister Sharon (Jim) Archibald, sister-in-law Kay Olson, and aunt Jewel Cochrane, many nephews, nieces and extended families, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce, his parents, three sisters, Beulah (Oscar) Johnson, Marjorie Olson, and Harriet (George) Johnson, one brother Allan Olson, Joyce’s brothers Malcolm (Ella) and Edwin Olson and sisters Vivian (Howard) Pushie, Ida Gwen (Bob) Bergh, Florence (Ted) MacDonald, mother and father-in-law, four nephews, one niece, and one
