Russell Wyatt
January 18, 1951 โ August 13, 2024
Russ Wyatt, born on January 18, 1951, in Outlook, SK, to John and Laura Wyatt of Conquest, SK, sadly passed away on August 13, 2024, surrounded by his family. Russ lived a life filled with love, dedication, and community spirit. He was a devoted husband to Bonnie, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Russ adored his daughtersโPamela, Rhonda, and Heatherโand their families. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and they lovingly called him "Punka," a name that reflected the unique bond they shared. Whether it was camping trips, sports, or community events, Russ was always there with his infectious sense of humor and a heart full of love.
Russ retired at 55, but his life was anything but quiet. He and Bonnie traveled the world, exploring different countries and creating cherished memories together. At home, Russ was deeply rooted in his community, always ready to lend a hand. He volunteered tirelessly, contributing to senior hockey, ball, and the fire department, where he served as fire chief. He was also active with the Elks and the church board, always striving to make his community a better place.
Russ is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; daughters Pamela (Brayden and Selena) (Taylor and Arlee) (Ashley and Matt), Rhonda (Sara and Stacey) (Emma and Jaden) (Jada and Tyson), and Heather and Bill (Wyatt and McKenna) (Hannah and Zavier); his brother Arnie Wyatt; sisters-in-law Maureen Taylor, Debbie (Doug) Lemon, and Wendy Barber; and brothers-in-law Arnold Cote and Bob Silverthorn. He was predeceased by his parents John and Laura Wyatt, brother Stan, sisters-in-law Connie Cote and Linda Silverthorn, brothers-in-law Larry Taylor and Brian Barber, and in-laws Anne Barber (Phil) and Morris Barber (Lois).
Russ's legacy of love, humor, and dedication will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Conquest Activity Centre. Committal will follow at Fertile Valley Cemetery. Donations may be directed to the Conquest Fire Department and made payable to the Village of Conquest or the Outlook and District Health Foundation, e-transfer available ODHF2023@gmail.com.
